Hi Reader, Welcome back to The Clarity Letter. Here’s a question I’ve been thinking about as we enter the final stretch of 2026: What would happen if you stepped away from your business for one week? Would work continue moving? Would your team know what to prioritize? Would leads still receive follow-ups? Would clients know what happens next? Would approvals move forward? Would you return to a business that continued operating… or an inbox filled with things waiting for you? I’ve worked closely with founders and leaders for years, and this is one of the patterns I see as organizations grow. In the beginning, being at the centre of everything works. You know every client. You remember every conversation. You approve every decision. You know which opportunities need following up. And because you built the business, much of the operating knowledge naturally lives with you. Then the business grows. More clients. More people. More opportunities. More moving pieces. And suddenly, the same involvement that once helped everything move starts asking for a different operating model. This is usually when I start looking at how work moves. What happens when a lead comes in? Who owns the next step? Where is the information captured? What happens automatically? What requires a decision? What does the team have authority to handle? Where can leadership see what's happening? Those questions lead us to workflows, systems, automation, documentation, and clearer ownership. But the real transformation is bigger than any of those things. The business becomes less dependent on memory and more supported by structure. And that creates capacity. Capacity for your team to take greater ownership. Capacity for you to think strategically. Capacity for the organization to grow. With fewer than 90 days left in 2026, here's a question worth sitting with: What still depends on you today that could be supported by a better process or system by January? You may already know the answer. And if you're ready to work through it, I’ve opened a few 30-minute Execution Consultations where we can look at what’s happening in your organization and identify where better workflows, systems, or operational structure could create the greatest impact.

Hi Reader, Welcome back to The Clarity Letter. We're getting closer to the end of the year. And around this time, conversations naturally start shifting toward 2027. New goals. New revenue targets. New programs. New hires. New clients. New initiatives. I love those conversations. But there's another question I think deserves a seat at the planning table: What are we carrying into 2027 that we've already outgrown? Maybe it's the spreadsheet that made perfect sense when there were 20 clients....
Hi Reader, Welcome back to The Clarity Letter. One of my favorite moments in this work is watching someone experience a process after it has been redesigned. Because sometimes the transformation sounds almost too simple. Something that once required: Opening a spreadsheet. Checking another system. Copying information. Sending an email. Creating a reminder. Following up later. Updating the spreadsheet again. …becomes one connected workflow. Information comes in. It goes where it belongs. The...
Hi Reader, Welcome back to The Clarity Letter. A while ago, I was looking at a process with a team when the Chief Executive Officer said something that made me smile: “I know we have a system for this somewhere…” And there it was. The organization had tools. Plenty of them. A CRM. Spreadsheets. Shared folders. Forms. Email. A project management platform. Each one had been introduced for a good reason. But over time, the team had created its own ways of getting things done. One person tracked...
